Thank you very much for registering to participate in PS2008.
Please confirm all the articles below prior to your registration, then press the "Go to Login Form" button located at the bottom of this page to finalize your registration.
PS2008 strongly recommends that you register during the early-registration period (by 4 July) to take advantage of discounts. Early registration will end at 17:00 p.m. on 4 July (FRI), Japan time.

Registration Fees

The following are included in your registration fee.

  • Participation in the workshops (held on 4 August), all keynote speeches, technical sessions, and exhibitions
  • One Digest on CD-ROM
  • Refreshments served at the Conference venue
  • Participation in the Get Together Reception on 4 August

Accommodation

For information regarding applications for accommodation, please see the "Accommodations" page.
All registrants are STRONGLY advised to book their accommodations as early as possible; due to Hokkaido being a very popular tourist area during the summer, it will become increasingly difficult to book hotels nearer the time.

Payment

Payment must be made in Japanese yen by credit card, bank transfer or PayPal.

» Bank Transfer Information

After submission of your registration through this site, your registration entry number will be sent to you by E-mail. When you transfer your payment, please make sure to write your registration entry number before the name of the participant on the transfer form. After you have transferred your payment, please fax the transfer receipt to the Contact Office. Your registration will be completed upon acceptance of this receipt.

Only MasterCard or VISA is accepted. You will be able to download the credit card form from the "Registration Form" on the following page. Please fill out the form and send it to Contact Office by FAX.

Issuance of Receipts

The receipt will be handed to you at the registration desk on the day of the Conference. If you wish to receive it earlier, please contact the Contact Office by E-mail.

Cancellation Policy

» Registration Fees

Cancellation requests must be made in writing to the Contact Office before 21 July. In the case of cancellations made before 31 July, a full refund of fees paid will be made based on your registration form (minus an administrative charge of JPY 3,000). If you request a refund, please state the pre-registrant's name and to whom the reimbursement should be made payable.
No requests for a refund will be accepted on or after August 1.

» Banquet

 Cancellation requests must be made in writing to the Contact Office before 31 July. Cancellation requests after this date cannot be accepted.

» CD-ROM

 Cancellation requests must be made in writing to the Contact Office before 31 July. Cancellation requests after this date cannot be accepted.

» Excursion

Cancellation requests must be made in writing to the Contact Office before 17 July. Excursion fees will not be refunded for cancellations made after this date.

Procedures for Participation Registration

If you already have an account:

*If you do not have an account, please read "If you do not have an account" shown below.

  1. Click "Go to Login Form" at the bottom of this page, and login, using the account with which you had submitted your paper. (If you forgot your Username or Password, please inquire with the Secretariat.)
  2. Click "Proceed with Registration."
  3. Enter the participation fee, payment method, and other items, and click "Agree."
  4. Confirm the data you had entered, on the confirmation screen. If you need to change your data, do so by following the page links.
  5. Your application for participation completes with clicking the "Confirm" button. Return to the Top Page, and logout.

If you do not have an account:

  1. When registering with the conference, you will need to set up your account by providing your basic information and creating your own Username and Password. Enter from the "Go to Login Form" at the bottom of this page, click "Create new account," and set up an account. The basic information which you had entered will be used as is in the subsequent steps.
  2. After you have completed setting up your account, login from the Login Form.
  3. Click "Proceed with Registration."
  4. Enter the participation fee, payment method, and other items, and click "Agree."
  5. Confirm the data you had entered, on the confirmation screen. If you need to change your data, do so by following the page links. If you are presenting a paper that was submitted from an account other than your own, use the Search Form found in the middle of the page to search the paper, and select it.
  6. Your application for participation completes with clicking the "Confirm" button. Return to the Top Page, and logout.
