| Editorial Reviews:
Product Description Assembly is never a concern with Pragma BedTM bases: no tools are required to put one together. All you need to do is pull it out of the box, unfold it, and place it in its designated space. If you wish to store your Pragma BedTM frame, just fold it up and hide it away. All bed frames, except the twin-sized frame, come in packages of two bed frames that once joined make up their desired bed size. This means that for a queen-sized bed, our customer will receive two bed frames that have the following dimensions when combined: 30.25" x 23" x 10.75", 36.8 lbs. Lightweight, strong, and easy to assemble: that's a Pragma BedTM.

Portable and sturdy January 21, 2010 oion (United States) 10 out of 10 found this review helpful
Since I tend to be mobile and move around a lot, I hated the idea of having a metal frame and boxspring to lug around, which would require a van or truck. After weighing my options, I decided to take a risk with this. (This review is only for the twin Pragma quad frame, not the seller.)
I've been sleeping on this (and an Ikea mattress) for over a week now and am quite satisfied. Setup was painless since there's no assembly. In fact, the only difficult part was getting it out of the box, if you can call that difficult. Putting together my entire bed by myself was very easy, and the entire thing is light enough that rearranging my bedroom was a cinch. (*I flattened the inner box and put it between the platform wires and mattress, however, for broader support. That's a habit I picked up from having a cheap futon.)
There's no excessive squeaking when I move around on it and bounce a little, though if there was, I imagine you could just oil it or something. The steel frame feels very stable. It's spacious enough underneath to put luggage or boxes and other things, which is a big plus.
the perfect solution January 18, 2010 S. Cochrane (Chicago) 8 out of 8 found this review helpful
We bought this because we live in a historic home that has too narrow of a staircase to get a box springs upstairs. This worked because it could be assembled in our bedroom. What i didn't expect was that it would be so comfortable and such a great solution for good sleeping. It is firm but not rigid and it is quiet and doesn't squeak. We are extremely satisfied.
Perfect solutions for small spaces June 12, 2010 Zelma E. Jensen (Salt Lake City, UT) 7 out of 7 found this review helpful
Did tons of shopping and reading before ordering this bed frame through Amazon. It is PERFECT! Simplicity (no hassle set-up, no box spring) is coupled with quality and great price. You literally unfold two frames and hook them together with two bolts. Timely delivery too.
This frame coupled with my new light-weight foam Ikea mattress and eight 27"x13" storage containers from The Container Store gives me a great night's rest, a small attic's worth of storage space, and a new feeling of spaciousness without sacrificing the luxury of a nice big queen bed for me and the two critters who share my space. The frame is firm enough that the critters jumping on and off the bed does not ripple into my space, waking me up.
When I moved from home to small condo, my much loved bed was not working. Mattress was so thick and heavy that when I put risers under it so I could use standard size underbed storage boxes, the bed was so high I had to "climb" into it. (It was incredibly easy to fall out of--but the bruises are fading). New frame takes much less room not only because I chose not to have a headboard or footboard but because it fits the mattress better. No space is wasted. My new mattress is lightweight and easy to make as well as to sleep on. Eight large containers under the bed are the equivalent of a small attic. I am pleased.
Thank you to all people who take time to rate products. Your help was crucial to my being able to get an economical bedroom makeover with all of the pieces coming together to create exactly what I wanted. Therefore, I am joining the reviewer ranks. This is my first review.
So far so good March 30, 2010 Freeman (Washington, DC) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
I purchased the full bedframe through Amazon a month ago and selected the free shipping option. I didn't expect it to arrive anytime soon, particularly because we were experiencing a snowstorm. But the box arrived in two days! It weighed about 50 pounds or more so I had a housemate help me lug it up the three flights of stairs to my room.
It was a little annoying to get it out of the box as the previous reviewer mentioned. But after that it was a snap to put together. I have the IKEA Sultan Finnvik Full foam mattress and I was using it directly on the floor for the last six months. I wanted a bedframe that would provide a lot of support and I think that this one does the trick. I had seen the bedframe several months before but I was skeptical because there weren't any reviews. I've now used this bedframe for three weeks and I have no complaints. I'm also relieved not to be sleeping so close to the floor anymore!
I will update in several months if anything changes, but so far so good!
Great Platform Bed April 11, 2010 James H. 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
This is a pretty great platform for memory foam beds. It isn't too heavy, and you can put it together in just a few minutes. It also is high enough that you can put stuff under the bed. I was a bit worried that this wouldn't be high enough off the ground for what I was used to, but those fears were soon put to rest. I bought this for a king sized memory foam bed and it just flat out works.
